Welcome to IGN’s Amazon Prime Day 2019 central hub, your source for all the best deals from every category during the biggest event of 2019 so far.

Amazon has announced Amazon Prime Day 2019 will last for 48 hours, from midnight, Monday July 15th, to 11:59PM, Tuesday July 15th (BST). Amazon has increased the length of time it has ran Amazon Prime Day deals year after year – it was 24 hours the first year, then 30 hours, and last year it was 36 hours. Now it’s offering 48 hours of deals, starting from July 15th.

What is Amazon Prime Day?

Amazon Prime Day is Amazon’s way of rewarding Prime members by offering great discounts over a range of categories. The deal event has been held by Amazon every year since 2015 and is widely regarded as one of the best deals events of the year, which is why many people abstain from shopping outside of deal events such as Amazon Prime Day and Black Friday and instead bulk shop when they come around. According to Amazon, Black Friday is about buying gifts for others (as it’s just before Christmas), but Prime Day is all about treating yourself.

The Best Deals from Last Year’s Amazon Prime Day

Amazon devices are usually the best selling items on Amazon Prime Day. Last year, the Amazon Echo was reduced from £89.99 to £59.99 and the Amazon Echo Dot slashed from £49.99 to £29.99, and the Amazon Echo Show went down from £199.99 to £99.99. Amazon Fire tablets, Amazon Fire TV sticks and Amazon Kindle e-Readers were also heavily discounted.

A 12-month Audible membership was half price, with monthly payments of £3.99 rather than £7.99. Elsewhere, there was a 3-month free trial of premium Amazon Channels, and 4 months of Amazon Music Unlimited for 99p – a deal which is repeated this year and is currently live right now.

Gaming and TV deals were also great – a 12-month Xbox Game Pass was just £47.99, and highly-rated OLED TVs were reduced by almost £1,000. We’re expecting similar great deals to be running this year.
