Sword and Shield during E3 2019, we discovered two new Galar Region: an Electric corgi and a Dark/Fairy imp.
Yamper: an adorable Electric Corgi
In our demo, Yamper the electric corgi had the Fairy-type move Play Rough, the Electric-type move Spark, the Dark-type move Crunch, and the Electric-type move Wild Charge. His ability was Ball Fetch, which will allow him to return the first failed PokeBall thrown in battle, so long as he’s not already holding an item. We were able to Dynamax Yamper, which caused his move set to change to Max Starfall (Fairy), Max Lightning (Electric), and Max Darkness (Dark).
Yamper has similar colors and markings that a real-life corgi would have: white and tan fur, and a heart-shaped patch of fur around his tail. He did, however, have yellow and green around his neck, eyes, ears and rear, and his tail was shaped like a small lightning-bolt.
Impidimp: the Dark Fairy imp
We know far less about Impidimp, as this Dark/Fairy type wasn’t actually in our team – he was used by an opponent. He is, however, a small, humanoid imp with a dark tongue, dark markings around his eyes, and a pink body.
We learned 22 new details about Pokemon Sword and Shield during this morning’s E3 2019 Nintendo Direct and Treehouse Live, including information on the Wild Area, Raid Battles and more. We also found out the Poke Ball Plus can be used with Pokemon in Sword and Shield.
Last week, prior to E3 2019, a special Pokemon Sword and Shield Nintendo Direct gave us a closer look at the game, and revealed a concrete release date.
