The roster seemingly brings back the crew of classic Mario characters, from Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, and Toad to Shy Guy, Toadette, Metal Mario, Dry Bones and the baby characters.
Some of the courses included are reportedly SNES Choco Island 2, DS Luigi’s Mansion, 3DS Toad Circuit, and 3DS Mario Circuit.
As a free-to-play mobile game, monetization has been assumed, but Nintendo has yet to release details on that front.
Mario Kart Tour was originally announced in early 2018 for a release before March 2019, but has since been pushed back to a summer 2019 release. Nintendo said the delay is, “in order to improve quality of the application and expand the content offerings after launch.”
