It’s getting closer to coming but isn’t quite there yet.

The mystery Inside Collector’s Edition from PlayDead, iam8bit, and sex doll manufacturer RealDoll has been delayed to ensure a “perfect” package.

iam8bit announced the collaboration last year, which was initially due for a Q1 2019 release. It’s still in production and will definitely be coming this year, but a new release window hasn’t been specified.

“Thank you for giving us the time to perfect the details of this amazingly special and unique package. We’re working diligently with our partners at Playdead and Real Doll to ensure that this [ REDACTED ] is of the utmost quality. No one has ever made something like this before, so the R&D time is vital to producing a high quality [ REDACTED ].”

We already know that the Collector’s Edition will include a retail copy of Inside for PS4, and that customers will receive Steam keys for both Inside and Limbo that will be emailed after purchase. The additional contents are still under wraps, but given that ReaDoll is involved, you can speculate away as to what the “other stuff” is.

Fans had until June 8, 2018 to pre-order, so if you wanted to get a look inside the $375 box, you’ll have to ask for a peek at someone else’s.
