Save some time, you’ll need it.
It’s that time again: Gloomhaven is on sale again, at just over $100 right now! If you’ve been on the fence about getting this, now’s a great time. If you’re already a Gloomhaven player, you can preorder the Gloomhaven expansion, Forgotten Circles, too. Beyond Gloomhaven, you can also preorder the super cool Stranger Things Dungeons and Dragons starter set for $24.99.
Gloomhaven for $103.31
This is a really involved game, but the best part is you can actually just play it alone. If you’ve ever tried to wrangle a group of friends together for a dedicated game night, you know how difficult it can be. If you have the itch to play Gloomhaven, but can’t get your friends to nail down a night and time, you can still play. The Gloomhaven removable sticker set is also discounted, so you can buy them both for less than the game normally costs by itself.
As gigantic and overwhelming as Gloomhaven can be, if you’re serious about it, it’s worth your money to pick up an organizer and some extra stickers.
Preorder the Forgotten Circles Gloomhaven Expansion
The Forgotten Circles Gloomhaven expansion comes out April 15, and you can preorder it right now for $40. If you want to get both Gloomhaven and the expansion, the price comes out to the non-sale price of the base game, so it’s a great way to pad out your Gloomhaven experience.
Conan for $56.32
The Conan boardgame is still on sale right now. If you don’t know what’s best in life, Conan can teach you: to crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women. At least, that’s what Arnold Schwarzenegger taught us in Conan: The Barbarian. This game features some truly excellent miniatures, too, as well as expansions.
If you already have the base game, or decide you want to go all-in on Conan, check out the expansions. They aren’t on sale, but the money you save on the base game should help cover the costs of at least one of the expansions:
Star Wars: Armada Core Set for $50.95
I’m personally a big fan of the X-Wing Miniatures game, and while this is not the same (different rules and strategies), its low price and freaking Star Destroyer miniature is calling to me pretty strongly. This is more tactical than the X-Wing game, focusing on fleet and squadron deployment rather than individual dog fights.
You can also grab some expansions miniatures on sale, too.
If you want even more Star Wars: Armada, you can pick up the Corellian Conflict campaign expansion, too. It’s not dramatically marked down, but it’s still less than its list price.
Scythe and Expansion on Sale
This is another highly-rated tabletop game with tons of awesome miniatures and a steampunk alt-history setting. The price on both the base game and the “Invaders from Afar” expansion are reduced right now.
