Definitely cutting it close.
This is obviously not something you expect to see on IGN, but my goal here is to help people, and if you’ve been dragging your feet on ordering flowers for Valentine’s Day, you need all the help you can get.
The following sites still have orders available that can arrive in time to save the day, but you should 100% absolutely check the website delivery options to make completely sure you can get them in time. The huge downside to waiting until the last possible day is you’re probably going to be paying more in shipping to get them delivered. Bummer all around.
Save 20% Site-Wide at FTD for Valentine’s Day
Since I am always lurking in the world of deals, I went ahead and placed my order about two weeks ago with FTD. There’s a 20% discount site-wide running right now and ending tomorrow, so if you are the ultimate last-minute gift giver, you can still cash in on the discount on Valentine’s Day itself.
There are some pricing surprises here, but it’s pretty much the case with all fresh flower delivery, no matter the retailer. The price they show on the product page is a poor reflection of the price you’ll end up paying. On top of delivery, there’s a service charge. For example, the dozen red roses in a glass vase, has a $17.99 service charge. But if you waited this long, you’re going to just have to deal with it.
Get 15% Instant Savings at ProFlowers
ProFlowers has an entire page dedicated to instant-redeem coupons. They’re mostly savings on packaged deals, like adding on a vase and saving 50% of the cost of the vase alone. There’s a coupon for 50% 100 Peruvian lilies, bringing the price down to $19.99 AND it includes a vase. A hundred flowers is a great way to cover up the fact you waited this long.
Save 10% at Get Flowers Fast
If you use the code WELCOME you can save an additional 10% on flowers at Get Flowers Fast. The best part is you can put off ordering your flowers for one more day and still get them in time for Valentine’s. Get Flowers Fast doesn’t charge anything extra for same-day delivery, but that doesn’t mean delivery is free. The chocolate-filled “Sweet Talk Gift Box” has a $25.99 shipping charge. Ouch.
Order Flowers on Amazon With Prime Shipping
Amazon has a surprisingly good selection of flowers to choose from, and they qualify for Prime shipping. That’s the good news. The bad news is any money you save with Prime shipping is undone by the fact you probably won’t get them overnight. That means your Valentine will have to settle for February 15 delivery, when all the candy is 75% off anyway. Huge bummer.
There are other Valentine’s gifts you can get on Amazon in time for tomorrow. For example, Amazon has a huge selection of Amazon Echo devices on sale for Valentine’s Day, so you could have the romantic Echo Show delivered tomorrow.
Other Flower Options
You could save a significant amount of money by grabbing some flowers at the nearest gas station, but I don’t recommend it. You also might have luck at a nearby grocery store or a local florist. Whatever you decide, I recommend you get a move on.
