The ultimate show of mutant bipartisanship.
Now that Marvel Comics has brought Wolverine and Cyclops back to life, the two X-Men find themselves fighting on the same side again.

Uncanny X-Men #11 kicks off a new storyline titled “This Is Forever.” In the aftermath of “X-Men Disassembled,” most of the X-Men have vanished following their showdown with X-Man, leaving the newly resurrected Cyclops low on allies as he resumes defending mutantkind. Cyclops wastes little time before revealing himself to the world. He appears at an anti-mutant rally and nearly sparks a riot before Captain America and the Avengers show up to keep the peace. Cyclops makes it plain that he’s not willing to forgive and forget after the events of Avengers vs. X-Men.
Cyclops takes the opportunity to put out a public call to all remaining mutants. He invites them to meet him at the ruins of the Xavier Institute and seek safety in numbers. Unfortunately, when Cyclops arrives at the school, he finds only anti-mutant hate groups like the Purifiers, the Reavers and the Friends of Humanity waiting to kill the last remaining X-Man. Fortunately, Cyclops realizes that he does have one friend left.
Wolverine emerges from hiding and quickly joins Cyclops in making mincemeat of their foes.
The X-Men reunion is a pretty big deal. Not only have both characters been dead for several years, they weren’t exactly on the best of terms even before that. 2010’s Schism chronicled the breakdown of Cyclops and Wolverine’s friendship, with the two heroes parting ways and establishing rival mutant schools. But now they’ve buried the hatchet just in time to reestablish the X-Men and rally the scattered remnant of the mutant race.
