Relax and let a robot do your cleaning for you.
The future has arrived, and it looks like… a robotic vacuum? Perhaps that’s not the fantastical future you expected to see, but several of these automated devices are on sale now at Walmart. And while we’d all rather spend our money on video games and comic books, we need to clean up after ourselves if we don’t want to gross out our guests. If you’re just here for deals on games, that’s cool — check out our Daily Deals for that. But if you could use some help cleaning up, having a robotic vacuum around is just the ticket.
While robotic vacuums are awesome, they’re also pricy. So check out the deals below, because now is a good time to buy in on this useful (and oddly lovable) sci-fi tech.
iRobot Roomba 960 for $549
Let’s start with one of the highest-rated robotic vacuums there is, the iRobot Roomba 960. This thing is a beast when it comes to automated cleaning. It has extra-strong suction that lifts dirt, dust, and even pet hair out of your carpets with five times the power of its predecessors. As it cleans up your mess, it maps its surroundings to make sure it gets every inch of your floor. And it has a smartphone app that lets you schedule or initiate a good cleaning even when you’re not home. While $549 might seem like a lot to spend on an appliance, this limited-time deal is a lot cheaper than the suggested retail price of $700.
Neato Robotics Botvac for $279.99
Many robotic vacuums are designed to move randomly over your floors, with the idea that, given enough time, they’ll eventually hit every spot. This vacuum from Neato Robotics uses LaserSmart technology to map your room, and it moves in straight lines as it methodically does its job. It works well on carpet, hardwood, and tile, and its battery lasts 90 minutes, so it can get the job done in a single charge. This one normally sells for $400, but it’s on sale now for $279.99.
Shark ION RV700 for $269
The Shark ION is another highly-regarded robot vacuum. It has a pair of brushes on its sides that sweep in debris from every corner and edge of your room. Its low profile lets it sail cleanly under furniture to suck up dust bunnies that might otherwise escape your notice. And while it’s not connected to Wi-Fi like the Roomba above, it comes with a remote you can use to kick the Shark into gear from across the room. This model normally sells for $300, but you can currently get it for $269.
iRobot Braava Jet for $169.99
Not everyone has wall-to-wall carpet. If you find yourself mopping more than vacuuming, you can still offload the job to a robot with the Braava Jet. Perfect for kitchens and bathrooms, this device works similarly to the robo-vacs above, but uses mopping pads instead of suction. If the dirt calls for a good wet scrubbing, the Braava Jet can spray cleaning solution on your tile, stone, or hardwood floors and wipe them clean. Or you can use it in dry mode to dust up crumbs and dirt. Either way, you don’t have to lift a finger to clean your floors. The Braava usually retails for $200, but right now it’s on sale for $169.99.
