Cheer on Mob in theaters as he learns to control the power unleashed by his emotions.
Crunchyroll and Fathom Events are teaming up for another year of bringing anime to theaters in 2019, and they’re starting the year with a screening of Mob Psycho 100’s second season premiere on January 5 in select U.S. theaters.
The premiere of Mob Psycho 100 II’s first episode will be shown with “a special greeting” from Mob’s voice actor Setsuo Ito and the Mob Psycho 100 OVA, which retells the events of the first season from Reigen’s perspective. The hour-long OVA is currently streaming on Crunchyroll along with the first season.
Mob Psycho 100 follows Shigeo “Mob” Kageyama, a psychic middle school boy who must maintain his emotions in order to try and keep his massive powers under control. Together with scam artist Arataka Reigen, Mob attempts to learn how to use his powers to help those around him. Things get complicated as other espers enter the scene and wild battles (and facial expressions) ensue. Mob Psycho 100’s first season was nominated for IGN’s 2016 Anime of the Year.
Tickets for this upcoming Crunchyroll Movie Night are now on sale for Crunchyroll subscribers and will be available for nonsubscribers starting on Friday, December 7. The second season of Mob Psycho 100 debuts in Japan and on Crunchyroll on January 7, 2019.
