Margot Robbie, best known for her roles as Harley Quinn and Tonya Harding, has revealed the first look of her as Sharon Tate in Quentin Tarantino’s next film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Shared via Instagram, Robbie looks the part of Tate in the late ’60s. She’s wearing a black turtleneck, a short white skirt and fittingly tall go-go boots in front of an industrial door. If there were any doubt that this is Robbie as Tate, the hashtag #OnceUponATimeInHollywood sealed the deal.
The film is a mystery crime thriller set around the infamous Manson Family murders that took place in Los Angeles in 1969. Sharon Tate, a burgeoning actress married to director Roman Polanski, was tragically murdered by cult followers of Charles Manson in her own home while eight-and-a-half months pregnant.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will also star Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Burt Reynolds in lead roles. A picture of DiCaprio and Pitt in costume was released prior to Margot giving us her first look as Tate. Al Pacino, Dakota Fanning and Damian Lewis were recently announced as part of the cast as well.
Last month, the release date for the film was pushed up, and it is now set to hit theaters on July 26, 2019.
