Farewell to Finding Dory, Sausage Party, and more.
Here’s Netflix’s official “Last Call” list for August, featuring all the movies and TV shows vanishing from the site over the next month.
Wave goodbye to family-friendly Finding Dory and not so family-friendly Sausage Party, along with other films like The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, and cheer-fest The Road.
Curiously too, the first three seasons of The Killing are going away.
It’s notable because The Killing was the first show Netflix ever “saved” from cancelation, making the fourth Netflix-produced season a Netflix Original. Now the first three seasons are expiring and all that will remain on the site is the final six-episode fourth season, which is odd because Netflix’s model is, or was, owning all of a show.
Does this mean, say, the early seasons of Arrested Development or Longmire could also leave the site and only the later Netflix seasons would stay?
Here’s the full list. (Note: U.S. Netflix only)
